Distributed Access

CityAdmin provides the option for distributed access to the content management system. Distributed access means that multiply accounts are provided for the content management system (CMS), with each account allowing for management of one section of content on the site.

In a municipal context, distributed access to the CMS means each department can manage its own content. In this way, content control remains with the owner of the content; so the content remains more current.

But content quality control can remain with the system administrator through an approval process, so content quality remains high.

This same concept can be applied to an events calendar…event coordinators can enter their own information.
